Title
Chicago Alliance for Equity in Computer Science (CAFÉCS)
Abstract/Description
Since 2011, the Chicago Alliance for Equity in Computer Science (CAFÉCS) has been supporting Chicago Public School (CPS) students with opportunities to discover learning through computer science fundamentals. We address problems of practice through research and development that increases students’ opportunities to gain the analytical, critical thinking, creative and problem solving skills they need to pursue computing pathways inside and outside the classroom.

CAFÉCS helps students embark on a journey of discovery through courses that help teachers implement inquiry-based activities that make computer science relevant, engaging and stimulating…while building a classroom culture that is inclusive of all students.
